TIP - If you're struggling to understand, just remember the golden French phrase: "Je suis désolé, je ne parle pas le français. Parlez-vous anglais?"("I'm sorry, I don't speak French. Do you speak English?")
Another TIP - if you're dailling the UK from France, you need to to dial the UK phone code and number replacing the first 0 with 0044. If you're using your mobile, check with your provider whether you need to do this or to dial the number just as you would when at home. Also, check your international roaming tariffs! The main mobile networks in France are: SFR, Orange and Bouygues Télécom.
